Why am I writing this story? Good question. But, why are you reading this story?
Better question.
At this moment you already can FIFO.
I don’t even know why I started blogging again. Is it because of @LievenRCA his college today?
Maybe.
The main reason why I started blogging is because I was noticing a trend. The trend of people talking about your ‘social activity’ on the web and how much they hate it. There are two solutions at this point. Or you say that it is because everybody does it or you cite the FIFO-clausule. Also know as: Fit in, or f*ck off.
To me it seems that you have tree types of people. The one who constantly ‘post’ things. 33% shit, 33% of the information makes a little bit sence, 33% is almost shit and 1% is about ‘liking’ things by pushing the ‘I like’ button.
After that you have the content-people. Who put funny and interesting things online. I like those people.
And then you have the people I was talking about in the first stage of this bloggy part. The people that are just looking for digital voyeurism and just complain about how many things you post every day.
I thought this would last forever but then, Twitter came. A network for people that wanted to deliver some kind of content that made you choose whether to click it, or not to click it, from the people who you want to see something from.
Twitter works like a funnel with a sieve in it. Timeline goes like this:
Login,Tweet,FI(-Y-)FO
Short but straight. The first two parts are simple. The last part is the FIT IN yourself or F*CK OFF part.
Or you post something good and people start to follow you and retweet you, or you stop tweeting and go back to the old fashioned Facebook gen.
And that is what makes Twitter a glossy and priviliged place where only cool guys hang out!
And that is, how I met your Tweet
